Garmin Forerunner 910XT GPS Review

The Forerunner  405 is actually an upgrade from the Forerunner 305 , which can only be used for outdoor training, but for those that like indoor trainings as well, the Forerunner 310XT can be used indoors as well, in combination with a Garmin Footpod.

This sports watch allows to set customized interval trainings and set a pace for each interval training when training indoors. Now, together with a Garmin Footpod, it gives the ability to later see the cadence, steps per minute and other data when uploaded to Garmin Connect.

If you choose the Forerunner 210 with heart rate monitor, it will also show your heart rate beat per minute. The heart rate has five zones, which are customizable to your own physic condition, so you can set your own parameters in which you want to train, this gives the possibility to avoid over training, which is bad for health.

Off course it comes with heart rate based calorie count so you can follow the calories burnt and see your progress in your diet.

For even more options, Forerunner 210 also works with compatible indoor fitness equipment which gives the advantage to track and store data from a treadmill run or an indoor cycling workout. This possibility annihilates any excuse NOT to go for training.

So, the trainings now can be really well followed up, whether indoors or outdoors, downloadable to your computer for easy analysis of your progress. Whether training for a race or just to increase your health, it is of vital importance you measure your progress all the way in order to have the most optimal result from your efforts, and have fun doing it.
You also can track weight, body fat, body water and six other measurements when using the Forerunner 210 with the Tanita BC-1000 body composition scale. The readings are stored on Forerunner 210, then automatically sent to Garmin Connect when in range of your computer.

Same as the Forerunner 310XT , the Forerunner 310XT is connected with Hot-Fix satellite connection, which gives a nearly 100% accurate location, and as well other detailed information that is available through this watch.

Even though you might be a newbie or a veteran marathon runner, the strength of building history on your performance is always key to any progress going forward. The Forerunner 310XT uses GPS to accurately record your distance, time and pace. Data from each run is stored in the unit, so you can go back and review how you did last week or last month.

Simplicity and the ease of using the Forerunner 110 has been the key element in this little gadget which is why the watch is so small and lightweight. You practically don’t feel it on your wrist, and okay, even though the display doesn’t show much information, the data that it stores on the background is completely visible on your computer and available for in depth analysis, which is pretty cool to me.

The battery life is quite extensive, because it doesn’t use that much power, and the user interface is really easy, any one can manage a Forerunner 310XT really well.

I’ve checked out some running clubs and asked a few people what they were using for a sports watch with GPS and most of them upgraded to the 310 XT GPS Water proof , because of the combination of outdoors with indoors and as well still has the same ease to manage the watch.

Before we go to check out some feed-backs of customers, please take a minute and check out this video that the Great Garmin Guys have created to give you a bit more insight on what the Forerunner 210 can do for you.

This video is about the Forerunner 310XT , but as stated earlier, the Forerunner 110 and 210 are similar, the only thing is that the 210 has more advanced options. As soon as I find a suitable video that explains the 210 really well about its features, I will change the video.

So, I hope you like the video. The Forerunner 210 gives a hell of a lot more options than the 110. The Combination with the Garmin Footpod which I will discuss in a different post will explain you really well how to combine indoors with outdoors activities and to be able to analyse and compare your indoors activities with your outdoors activities.

So, now that we have seen the video, let’s see what others have to say about the Forerunner 310XT.
